The Helix Kids Mattress

Below, we’ve included a few helpful resources for getting your child’s new mattress opened, expanded, and ready for their very best night’s sleep. Sweet dreams!
UNBOXING YOUR HELIX KIDS MATTRESS
Unpack
Your Helix Kids Mattress will be delivered in a sturdy box and wrapped in two layers of airtight plastic.
To get started, bring your boxed Helix Kids Mattress into the bedroom and open one end of the box. Lay the box on its side and remove the rolled up mattress, placing it directly on your child's sleep surface. Set aside the empty box to be recycled later.
Uncover
To remove the outer layer of airtight plastic, pull on the tab and begin removing the entire outer layer. You are welcome to carefully use scissors to cut away the outer layer of plastic if necessary. Your mattress may begin to unroll or unfold on your child's sleep surface.
Once the outer layer of plastic has been fully removed, please set it aside. It can be recycled with soft plastics if that service is available in your area.
Unfold + Unwrap
With the outer layer of plastic removed, fully unfold your child's mattress so it sits flat on your child's sleep surface, with only one layer of airtight plastic remaining.
Carefully cut the inner layer of recyclable plastic (avoid cutting the mattress) and remove it. As you cut into the inner layer of plastic, the mattress will begin to rapidly expand.
Flip
Flip the mattress so the age range that appears right side up (on top) is appropriate.
Please give the mattress 1-2 hours to expand. Once fully expanded, your Helix Kids Mattress will measure approximately 8 inches tall. Then it's time to kick back and relax. Sweet dreams!

Does the Helix Mattress require a foundation?
Yes, every Helix mattress will require a support system beneath it. The slats on your foundation or support system should be no wider than 5 inches apart as that could cause sagging and could potentially void your warranty.
What is the 100 night sleep trial?
Your Helix mattress comes with a 100 night sleep trial, which begins on the day of delivery. If you are unhappy with your mattress within those 100 days, you are welcome to return it for a full refund. Each mattress does include a 30-day break-in period.
Why is there a break-in period?
It can take some time to adjust to a new sleep system. That’s why we require every customer to try their mattress for at least 30 days before beginning the return process. The sleep trial, and break-in period, begin on the day of delivery.
